NZBget
NZBget's connection fields exist in Settings, and the Mac can open its web UI, but the Downloads screen does not read or control it yet.

NZBget is a lightweight Usenet client. Pocket Homelab has a Nzbget group in Settings with the fields you would expect for JSON-RPC (URL, control username and control password), but no screen reads them yet. The app has no NZBget client: it never contacts your server.
What you get
No transfers, controls or figures. The only thing the fields do today is give the Mac a shortcut to NZBget’s web UI (see On Mac).
Set up
The fields below match NZBget’s own JSON-RPC control credentials, in case support arrives in a future update. Only the URL has any effect today.
| Key | Field | Required | Secret | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
NZBGET_URL | NZBget URL | Optional | — | Base URL of your instance. Leave empty to hide NZBget features. |
NZBGET_USERNAME | Username | Optional | — | Settings → Security → ControlUsername. |
NZBGET_PASSWORD | Password | Optional | Secret | Settings → Security → ControlPassword. |
On iPhone
No screen. The Downloads tab lists qBittorrent, SABnzbd, slskd and MeTube only, and NZBget is not among the Open … web links on the Downloads screen or Home.
On Mac
The Downloads workspace has no NZBget rows and NZBget is not in its client filter.
- Services lists Nzbget among the other download services. Without a URL, clicking it opens its Settings. With a URL saved it is described as “Usenet queue”, and clicking it (or its open-in-browser button) opens NZBget’s web UI in your browser, since there is no NZBget screen to go to.
- With a URL saved, search offers Open NZBget under Service websites.
Actions
None available.
Works with
Nothing: NZBget is not part of the shared Downloads screen, the Home card or any quick action.
Tips & troubleshooting
- Settings → Services → Nzbget has no working Test connection: the iPhone says “No test available for this service yet.” and the Mac “No connection test available for this service.” This is expected, not a problem with your setup.
- A saved NZBget URL counts as a service, so on the free plan it takes one of the three service slots. Leave the URL empty if you only want the fields remembered for later.
