Keyboard shortcuts
Every binding in Pocket Homelab for Mac, from window commands, quick actions, Notes and workspace navigation to system-wide capture and the per-screen keys, and how to change them.

Glyph order follows the app’s own display code: ⌃ ⌥ ⇧ ⌘. Help → Keyboard Shortcuts… (⌘/) opens the same list inside the app, in Settings → Quick Actions → Shortcuts. The tables below show the defaults.
Changing a shortcut
Every binding in the Window and app, Quick actions, Notes and Workspace navigation tables can be changed, and so can the system-wide capture keys. ⌘, (Settings) and the per-screen keys further down are fixed.
- Open Settings → Quick Actions → Shortcuts, or From any application for the capture keys.
- Click the key caps of the row you want to change.
- Press the new combination. It must include ⌘, ⌃ or ⌥; Esc cancels.
- Press Save.
The same dialog has Reset to default and Clear shortcut. A cleared row shows Not set; the action stays in its menus, just without a key. Menus, toolbar hints and the lists pick up a change straight away, and the bindings are stored on this Mac only.
A combination without ⌘, ⌃ or ⌥ gets “Include Command, Control or Option with a key.” Two more kinds are refused:
- One already assigned to another action or capture key: “Already assigned to … Choose another shortcut.” This also applies to Reset to default when the default has since gone to something else.
- ⌘ alone with Q, W, H, comma, C, V, X, A, Z, S, F, P, M, Tab or Space: “This combination is reserved for standard macOS or editor commands.”
The two note-list keys are the exception to the first rule: they only act while a list is showing in the Quick Note panel, so they may share a combination with an app-wide shortcut (⌘K is both), and only clash with each other.

Quick actions
Every action is disabled while its service is unconfigured. Pinned Open … screen actions have no key of their own; Launch screen (⌥⌘O) opens the screen you chose for it.

Notes
Active while a note is open, in the Quick Note panel and in the Notes workspace. The note’s view handles them before the editor does, so ⌘E switches to Markdown instead of formatting inline code; the toolbar’s Code button still does that.

The last two work in the Quick Note panel while its notes, its actions or its folders are showing. With no list up, ⌘K opens the note actions as before.
Workspace navigation
Navigation uses the digits 1–9 across four tiers: ⌘, ⌥⌘, ⌃⌘ and ⌃⌥⌘. Rows are disabled when the workspace is unavailable. The Group column is the default sidebar heading; Customize Sidebar… can move an item under another heading, and its key stays the same.

System-wide capture
These work in any app while Pocket Homelab is running, even with its main window closed.

Quick Note and Add to daily note are registered only when your Nextcloud has the Notes app; without it their keys stay free for other apps.
Inside a panel, Esc or the close button hides it and keeps your draft; pressing the same shortcut again while the panel is showing hides it too. Settings → Quick Actions → From any application lists each capture with its own key caps (click them to change the key) and an Open button, under a switch for Enable system-wide capture shortcuts. If a registration fails, the row says so and Retry shortcuts tries again. While you record a new shortcut, the capture keys are paused so the recorder gets the keys you press.

The folder chip at the top of the panel moves the note. In the folder list:

Calendar and My Schedule
The global shortcuts above open the windows. These keys navigate inside them:

These keys apply only inside the camera check. Joining releases the camera and, after a successful handoff, closes the floating Calendar or My Schedule window.

Now playing bar
While music, a podcast or an audiobook plays, the bar along the bottom of the main window takes Space to play and pause. Media keys and Control Center control the same player.
Sheets and dialogs
Esc closes the in-app Add transaction, New task and Add to daily note sheets, the Mac settings dialogs and the shortcut recorder.
